PCA Services
Personal care assistance services help a person with day-to- day activities in their home and
community. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) services may be available to eligible clients who enrolled in a
Minnesota Health Care Program. At Rainbow Home Healthcare, Inc. our personal care assistants provide supportive care, helping you live as independently as possible. Our services includes:
- Activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and assisting you getting in and out of bed.
- Health related procedures and tasks, such as assistance with self-administered medication
- Observation and redirection of behaviors to keep you safe at home.
- Instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping completing errands.

Homemaker Services
24-Hour Emergency Assistance services are limited to those individuals who live in their own home:
- Light housekeeping
- Grocery shopping - Complete errands when request
- Meal Preparation
- Laundry on a weekly basis
- Making phone calls
- Help assist when out in a community event
- Safety supervision
- Medication reminders
24 HOUR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
On-call counseling and problem solving and/or immediate response for assistance at a person’s home due to a health/personal emergency.
- Do not receive 24-Hour supervision
- Require extensive, routine supervision
- Or who live with a family member or a primary caregiver who would otherwise require extensive supports in the absence of this service to secure help in the event of an emergency.
ADULT COMPANION SERVICES
- Consist of non-medical care provided to a functionally impaired adult.
- Assist person with tasks such as meal preparation, laundry and shopping.
- Accompany individual into community
- Conversation and Hobbies
NIGHT SUPERVISION SERVICES
- Individual ( a beneficiary, family member, or primary caregiver) regularly responsible for these activities is
- Temporary absent or unable to manage the home and care for him/herself of others in the home
PERSONAL SUPPORT
Personal support is a non-medical care, supervision and assistance provided to a waiver recipient in the recipient’s home or in the community to achieve:
- Increase independent
- Productivity
- Inclusion in the community
RESPICE
Respite-care service may be providing on a short-term basis because of an absence or a need for relief of those persons who normally provide the care.
